John Davis, CEO

John Davis started building homes in Flower Mound, Texas about 15 years ago, when he did it as a part-time endeavor. And what’s interesting is that the homes John built were all sold before he even finished them! (Which speaks to the kind of beauty and quality John puts into his homes).

John has a really interesting background. He credits his drive, sense of integrity, his work-ethic, and approach to life and business to the lessons he learned playing football at the University of Alabama, which won an SEC Championship during his time there.

After he graduated, like most of us, he tried several different things before going to work for Southern Energy Manufactured Homes in 1993. Since then, John has worked in Sales, as a Sales Manager, and as a General Manager in manufactured housing, where he learned about building affordable housing and how to build homes from a manufacturing perspective. So he has a very strong ability to organize a diverse workforce, manage them to a schedule, and how to organize and run things efficiency.

In addition to his home-building operation in Flower Mound and in manufactured housing, John also has a lot of experience in buying, refurbishing, and reselling homes that needed a little attention and care. He also maintains a portfolio of rent homes in North Texas. All in all, John is fully-immersed in the affordable housing business, and likes providing great homes at affordable prices; and enjoys working with the folks that buy and rent homes from him.

People like working and doing business with John for many reasons, but here are a few of the most important things you need to know about him:

Honesty: John is a very direct, honest person. He’s not afraid to answer any question about how he does business, or how he goes about building homes. If you have a question about your home, all you have to do is ask him about it, and you can count on getting the answer, without hesitation

Straightforward: What you see is what you get with John. No pretension. He drives a Ford F150 and is proud of it. He doesn’t try to put a “spin” on anything – he just gives the straight answer.

Integrity: John is a throwback to another era, when a handshake meant something. If he gives you his word on something, or tells you something, you can absolutely count on it. He is one of those people that always does what he says he will do.

The Golden Rule: All of us here believe very strongly in this. It’s simple, just treat people the way you want to be treated, and things generally work out. So when you deal with John, or any of his staff, you can expect courtesy, prompt responses, kindness, positive attitudes, truthfulness, and a warm and friendly demeanor. Conviction: Building homes isn’t the easiest business to be in – it takes courage of your convictions to stick it out in the face of many challenges. There are a lot of pieces that have to come together just right to deliver a great home. John’s level of conviction is unquestioned, and as a result, he’s built a lot of great homes, and has a lot of happy Clients.
