THE JOHN HUNTER HOME BUILDER’S

BUILDING PROCESS

Our Construction Partners!

Our 7-step building process ensures that every home we build exemplifies Value, Quality, Affordability, and Integrity. From concept to construction, trust that your John Hunter Home Builder’s home is a product of careful planning and masterful execution.

01 Planning & Design

Conceptualization: We start with a good vision and create detailed plans. This includes designing the layout, selecting materials, and finalizing the budget. We'll also take care of obtaining all necessary permits.

02 Site Preparation

Clearing and Excavation: Once the design is ready, we prepare the site by clearing the land and excavating to create a stable foundation. This step ensures that your home will be built on solid ground.

03 Foundation

Laying the Groundwork: We pour the concrete for your home's foundation, including footings and walls. Proper drainage systems are installed to protect your home from water damage.

04 Framing and Roofing

Building the Structure: The skeleton of your home is constructed, including walls, floors, and roof trusses. Once the frame is up, we install the roof to protect the interior from the elements.

05 Systems Installation

Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC: At this stage, we install all the essential systems. This includes plumbing pipes, electrical wiring, and heating and cooling systems. These "rough-ins" lay the groundwork for the utilities in your home.

06 Interior and Exterior Work

Bringing It to Life: We install insulation and drywall, followed by painting, trim work, and flooring. On the outside, we add siding, windows, and doors. This phase transforms the structure into a home.

07 Finishing Touches and Handover

Final Details and Walkthrough: The last phase includes installing fixtures like sinks, lights, and HVAC controls. After a thorough inspection and any final adjustments, we do a walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. Finally, we hand over the keys, and you move into your new home!
